- Provide barbering services, such as cutting, trimming, shampooing, and styling hair, trimming beards, or giving shaves.
- Identify hair problems before conducting any treatments
- Apply lather; and shave beards, or neck and temple hair contours using razors
- Clean and sterilize scissors, combs, clippers and other instruments
- Clean work stations
- Curl, color, or straighten hair using special solutions and equipment
- Cut and trim hair according to clients’ instructions
- Question patrons regarding desired services and haircut styles
- Record services provided on cashiers or receive payment from customers
- Shampoo hair
- Stay informed on the latest styles and hair techniques
- Suggest treatments to alleviate hair problems
Requirements
- High School diploma/Qualification Certificate in similar role is required
- 2+ years’ experience in cutting and styling hair in a salon
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Able and willing to work a flexible schedule
